My favorite player was dev1ce, and I wanted something cool like that. “System” seemed too plain, so I threw an “x” in there, and BAM, that bitch was cleeaaaan.
Real Name:
Austin
Location:
Originally from Stockbridge, GA, now living in Gainesville, FL.
Starting Counter-Strike:
Peak COVID – 2021.
Inspiration for Competitive Play:
In my first year of playing, I had a fire inside me and felt like I was meant for something more in this game. I played 15-20 matches a day while in the military—my life was work-CSGO-work-CSGO. Then I realized, damn, I’m kinda mid, and became a caster because I have a cool voice or whatever.
Other Games Played:
Not really—CS is my staple and gets most of my time.
Favorite Counter-Strike Map:
Dust 2 – first map I learned and just fun to run and gun.
Favorite Role in the Game:
Entry rifler – can’t get called a baiter if I’m dead first every round.
Favorite Professional Player/Team:
For a while, it was dev1ce, but all-time, it has to be Stewie2k.
Role on Chicken Coop:
Production Director / Caster – I don’t do as much as the other guys, but when it’s my time to shine, baby, I shine. I provide good-quality casts for tournaments and games and only bring in the best to help with production.
Favorite Moment with Chicken Coop:
Watching the org grow from a small tournament to having an ECL team in just a few months.
Teammates’ Description:
Very energetic—kind of all over the place.
Biggest Strength as a Player:
My ability to go in first without a care in the world.
Area for Improvement:
I don’t really play too much.
Pre-Game Rituals:
Not really—just hype myself up.
Favorite Snack or Drink During Gaming:
Water, gotta have it.
Relaxation and Recharging Outside of Gaming:
Playing guitar, singing, sometimes writing stories when I’m really bored.
Fun Fact:
I’ve won two national championships in a sport called Orienteering.
Gaming Setup or Lucky Charms:
I have a cross necklace I keep at my setup at all times.
Dream Feature for Counter-Strike:
-NUKE -NUKE -NUKE.
Favorite Gaming Memory:
Watching my first Major with my friends and screaming in the Discord call. Haha.
What Being Part of Chicken Coop Means to Me:
It’s an opportunity to grow as a caster and improve the NA CS scene. We’ve kinda sucked the past couple of years, but I feel like we’re trending upward, and it’s because of hardworking communities like this that give it life.
Advice for Aspiring Counter-Strike Players:
Take it slow—CS is easy to learn, hard to master. You’re going to have bumps, bad days. Everyone drops a 5-22 game once in a while. Just breathe, take a break when needed, and keep your head down.
