Starting in 2023, Chicken Coop Esports was born from a shared passion for Counter-Strike. It all began with Chicken, a young player with a vision, and his uncle 40AiR, a seasoned Counter-Strike enthusiast who had been playing since the game’s early days in the 2000s. Their bond over the game transcended generations, sparking the idea to build something bigger than themselves—an organization dedicated to cultivating North American esports talent.
Starting with humble beginnings, Chicken and his uncle formed a team to compete in ESEA leagues. Fueled by a love for the game and a desire to foster community, they poured their energy into developing a grassroots Counter-Strike team. The journey was not without challenges, but the duo’s commitment and shared vision kept them moving forward.
Recognizing the need for a platform to spotlight emerging talent, Chicken Coop began organizing tournaments. These events quickly became a hallmark of the organization, providing a space for aspiring players to compete and grow. With each tournament, Chicken Coop gained recognition for its commitment to fair play, community engagement, and professional production quality. The Thanksgiving Cash Cup is a great example of a tournament that brought the organization closer to its vision.
As the organization’s reputation grew, so did its ambitions. Chicken Coop took the next big step by signing a competitive roster to represent the brand on a larger stage. This milestone marked the transition from a grassroots initiative to a fully-fledged esports organization, solidifying its presence in the Counter-Strike scene.
In late 2024, Chicken Coop officially launched as an esports organization. With a dedicated Counter-Strike team, an active community Discord, and a roster of tournaments under its belt, the Coop’s mission became clear: to elevate North American Counter-Strike by fostering talent, creating opportunities, and inspiring the next generation of players. The partnership between Chicken and his uncle became the heart of the organization’s story, symbolizing its commitment to community, family, and shared passion.
As we move into 2025, Chicken Coop is more determined than ever to leave its mark on the esports landscape. With plans to compete in major tournaments, host even bigger events, and partner with industry-leading sponsors, the future is bright. Join us as we continue to hatch champions and redefine what it means to succeed in competitive gaming.
