Mike, who goes by Shooby, writes for Chicken Coop. He is a Counter-Strike 2 journalist and freelancer based in Virginia, and the Coop is one of several places his work shows up across the scene.
He came to the org from the writing side of Counter-Strike rather than the playing side, with past work for HEROIC behind him. Alongside his writing for the Coop he runs social media for Astral Esports. What ties it together is a genuine interest in the analytical side of the game: the numbers behind a result, and why a team actually won the map rather than just who did.
