Egg-citing scenes out of the city of Brooderly love!
After a hefty three days filled to the brim with Counter-Strike, the Coop managed to walk away with the 1st place prize after winning the FRAG TAP Reloaded 2026.
Our journey in Philly began in Group C, where the boys came out flying, going 4-0 and dropping only 12 rounds throughout the group stage. Topping the roost earned the Coop a round 2 start in the playoffs, where they made quick work of F5, with a 2-0 victory to advance to the upper bracket semifinals.
Next up was SportsBetExpert with their farm-fresh lineup. While they say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, it couldn’t keep the Coop away. The flock swiftly sent SBE to the lower bracket, securing a spot in the upper bracket final.
There, the Coop faced Marsborne for the first of several meetings. Another convincing 2-0 win brought the squad to the grand final.
Marsborne fought their way back through the lower bracket to set up a rematch in the grand final. Thanks to the upper bracket run, the Coop entered the best-of-five with a one-map egg-vantage. After a hard-fought series, Marsborne claimed both maps 2 and 3 of Inferno and Overpass, leaving the Coop needing to perform a reverse sweep. Despite Mirage being their first ban, the boys dominated 13-3, forcing the decider map, Ancient. Ancient delivered scrambled, back-and-forth Counter-Strike at its finest. A commanding 9-3 halftime lead was narrowed to 11-9 before the Coop closed it out 13-11, taking the series 3-2 and winning the entire event!
Coming into FRAG TAP, Chicken Coop was ranked 161st globally and 32nd in the Americas, with 845 VRS points. Following their victory, Chicken Coop is now ranked 109th globally and 25th in the Americas, with 1029 VRS points. A gain of 52 positions globally, 7 in the Americas, and 184 points gained in VRS. A massive achievement that should qualify the squad for several future tournaments.
Along with the VRS gains, this victory marks our 5th top 4 LAN finish, meaning Chicken Coop gets its own page on Liquidpedia!!
Huge congrats to the boys for their effort, thank you so much, Fessor, for standing in for us, and thank you to all the fans who cheered us on!
Also, a huge shoutout to FRAG for hosting an egg-cellent event with some of the best production in NA!
